Hanwha Vision

Hanwha Vision

Since launching our first surveillance camera in 1990, Hanwha Vision has focused on the video surveillance business for the last 30 years. We’ve built a full line-up of video surveillance (CCTV) products from cameras and storage devices to integrated control and intelligent video analysis software using our top-tier optical design, manufacturing, and image-processing technologies.

Hanwha Techwin is one of Hanwha Groups’ affiliates. Hanwha Group, founded in 1952, is one of the Top-Ten business group in South Korea and a “FORTUNE Global 500” company.

Hanwha Vision is committed to providing world-class total security solutions that are tailored to the varying needs of our customers, such as, high-resolution equipment and intelligent technologies that can thwart crimes in advance and effectively respond to the emergence of new technologies.

Hanwha Techwin offers cybersecurity with the industry’s highest levels of cybersecurity policy with secure boot/OS/storage, a signed firmware/open platform app, secure JTAG and more. Hanwha Techwin established its own device certificate issuing system to embed certificates into the product not only in the development progress but also in the manufacturing progress.

Reducing false alarm based on deep learning technology

Wisenet P series AI cameras detect and classify people, vehicles, faces and license plates and more in real time, greatly enhancing the accuracy of video analytics. While conventional cameras detect motion based on its pixels and generate events even if users want to ignore. The Wisenet AI algorithms can discern person as distinct objects separate from their surroundings such as waving trees, shadows, or animals. Wisenet P series AI cameras are able to help improve operator efficiency.

Attributes for AI search

Metadata including attribute information (people, face, age group, gender, colors of top/bottom clothes, wearing  glasses, bag,types/colors of vehicles) is sent to the backend server and used to extract information on specific events.

Operators are able to search AI events with defined attributes on the backend server. This greatly enhances search efficiency and reduces time spent on searching events.

BestShot for Re-identification

Wisenet P series AI cameras are equipped with the BestShot feature which ensures that only the most suitable images of classified objects. BestShots extracted from AI cameras can be used to recognize faces or license plates on the backend.

Wisenet AI NVR(will be launched on Jul. 20) provides FR(Face Recognition) and LPR(License Plate Recognition) features using with Wisenet P series AI cameras. This helps system load balancing in distributing network traffic and managing data flow between cameras and backend servers.

Image optimization l WiseStream III

A new state-of-the-art video compression technology WiseStreamIII operates based on the object detection accomplished by AI algorithms. When combined with the H.265 compression technology, bandwidth can be reduced by up to 80% without compromising the video quality, enabling efficient video management.

Image optimization l WiseNR II

The newly applied AI-based noise reduction technology WiseNRII and a new prefer shutter control function based on object detection allow AI cameras to optimize image noise and motion blur depending movement of objects (people, vehicle). This helps maintain clear image quality, and therefore capturing BestShots with less noise or blur.

Edge-based Video Analytics | COVID-19 solution

Occupancy Monitoring Application

Wisenet Occupancy Monitoring Application combines 4K camera with people counting, an edge-based AI video analytic, to precisely monitor the occupancy level.

This application displays a red ‘Wait’ message along with the number of people currently inside to help customers conform to social distancing policy when the maximum occupancy of an area is reached, When numbers are below the threshold, a green “Welcome” message is displayed.

Face Mask Detection

Wisenet AI camera is ideal for object detection and classification using attribute analytics. Face Masks are now part of the attribute metadata for a forensic review. Wisenet Face Mask Detection can detect if people are wearing/not wearing a face mask in real-time. If a person enters an area without a face mask or improperly wearing a face mask and provide notification to compatible VMS/NVRs.

Social Distancing Detection

With Hanwha Techwin’s Wisenet P series AI cameras, social distancing checks became easy and accurate. Cameras placed in key locations throughout a facility or outdoor space detect distancing violations (violations of preset distance) and trigger an instant event alert on connected NVR/VMS. They can also send out instant alarms to the objects through speakers or other alarm devices connected to them.

Improved image quality

The LDC function supports Fill/stretch mode to correct distorted images. The operator can select mode depending on the monitoring environment.

Sound classification

Sound classification can help users responds immediately in dangerous situations, by classifying sounds such as gunshots, glass breaking, screams and explosions.
